Tex-Mex singer Jorge Moreno showcases his ability to sing in more than one genre on his latest CD “The Best of Both Worlds.”
Moreno should be familiar to music fans - he's that fair-skinned, good-looking singer with the 1000-watt smile who's played in various Central Texas events such as the Tejano Music Awards Fanfairs.
Alicia Villarreal's brother killed in crash José Víctor Villareal Esparza, brother of norteno singer Alicia Villarreal was kiiled in an early morning car accident in Monterrey, Mexico. According to news reports, Esparza was traveling in his sports car when he apparently hit a curb on a major thoroughfare. His car flipped and landed on him, killing him instantly.
Javier Galvan: the next step beyond Fama
Longtime Tex-Mex singer-songwriter Javier Galvan says he's ready to take the next step. And yes, that means going beyond his group Fama, after more than 24 years.
“The reason I am leaving is to pursue ministry,” Galvan said Tuesday (9/15). “I feel like I put in 24 years with Fama and now I feel the tugging. That God is tugging me to pursue a fulltime ministry.” Galvan said his ministry is non-denominational.
